This post is part of Homemade Mommy’s ‘what we ate today’ series. I post what both I ate and what I fed my 3 year old daughter to give this community ideas on how to eat real food and that it is possible to feed a child REAL food.
I am really looking forward to dinner tonight – it is our first beef stew of the season and I sure have missed hearty meat dishes. Maybe making this will usher in some cooler temperatures down here…maybe?!

Glad to see you tried my beef stew! How did it come out?

It looks great! I have been cooking it a lot longer than three hours – probably around 5-6 hours. It is still pretty wet so I have left the pot open. I used kohlrabi and kohlrabi greens instead of parsnips which we don’t have right now. I also added a cardamom pod and some turmeric. I used ACV instead of red wine vinegar too. 🙂 Delicious!
