I know I am not the only one who deals with occasional blemishes around my period. Yep–you too?
One day all is clear and the next day I have Mt. Vesuvius on my face!
I recently learned an amazing trick that is so simple I want to kick myself for not doing it sooner.
Homemade 2 Ingredient Pimple Zapper
Here is the solution… Purification oil. This oil blend is naturally cleansing!
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp coconut oil
- 3-4 drops Purification Oil blend
Equipment Needed
Directions
In a small pot, gently melt the coconut oil gently on low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and add in the Purification oil.
Stir to incorporate and then use an eye dropper to pour into the lip balm tubes. If your house is cold, then it should set up very quickly so make sure to move fast to get the liquid mixture into the tubes! If your house is warm, store the tubes in the fridge so they don’t melt.
Use as needed as a homemade pimple zapper. I just dab it on my blemish.

I never thought of using coconut oil on zits. What a great idea!
Helen BC says
if you add a bit of Bee Wax it will be room temperature stable
Lindsey G. says
Yes I do that with my lip balm recipe but I didn’t want to risk adding the beeswax and having it aggravate a zit! I wanted to keep it to the bare minimum!

I am definitely going to make this! Between myself,my teenage son and daughter, this will be put to excellent use! And I just ordered Purification oil and more coconut oil!
Andrea says
can you use just the purification oil and apply with your finger?
Lindsey G. says
You can and I do that sometimes. This is a way to stretch your dollar on your oils. If you use a drop a day you would go through it pretty quick!

My son has terrible acne on his back. Can I use this recipe to make a salve for his back? How many times a day can you apply it? Thanks.
Lindsey G. says
A little goes a long way. It works though – I had the same issue! I apply at night and that is enough. You could do it twice a day if it was really bad. It should take a week or so to clear up.

thank you so much. we have tried a lot of things, but nothing has helped. Can’t wait to give this a go!

Do you have a homemade remedy for blackheads my daughter has alot of them on her face and I can not afford the spa every week thank you misty
Kim A. says
HI Misty, I started getting blackheads really bad this past year for some reason. I couldn’t figure it out as I never had them before. Then my son started getting them too.
After some research I noticed the common theme seemed to be, that using certain soaps and other conditions(diet, stress, environment, skin products) tightens the pores too much for them to breathe and allow toxins to escape. Get clogged and blackheads can form. I think they are whiteheads first and then progress to blackheads(my opinion)
So now I only use soap on my face(having trouble finding any cleanser that works with my skin and is NOT toxic) like 1-2 times a week when I feel I need to. Otherwise I just rinse well with warm water and use coconut oil to cleanse and to treat/hydrate.
Although my skin is still adjusting and I believe detoxing, almost all of the black heads are gone, just a few remain! I honestly didn’t think it would work. Im not sure how well this will work in the long run but amazingly it is healing. I had great skin and when my gut went bad it was like being a teen, except as a teen I hardly broke out ever. I am so upset at the marks on my face now, the rosacea, cyst like acne etc, what a nightmare but the oil has been a miracle. I hope to see full healing from it in time.
Lindsey, I am definitely going to try the Purification, I love that oil! I do not have the tubes but I can use the glass jars I bought for the homemade skin care products that I have not made yet lol.

Do you have any other EOs I could use, I don’t like young living as I have had bad reactions to them
