I cannot even believe I am about to post this ‘homemade’ stain remover recipe because everyone will be so surprised at how easy it is…

I have been experimenting with this for the past few months on various types of stains and this easy ‘homemade’ stain remover really works every time! This easy stain remover works on grease stains, permanent marker, food (even red fruit), motor oil…you name it and this easy stain remover works to get it out!

The image is of my recent triumph over stains. A friend’s daughter was having a playdate at our home and she was wearing her Halloween costume. It was a beautiful greek costume…and it was white. She wanted to eat some fruit salad which had raspberries in it and her mother told her to be careful not to spill (famous last words). A few moments later, there was raspberry juice down the entire dress!

Lemon essential oil (I buy mine here)

Stain Remover Directions

Apply the Lemon essential oil all over the stain. Immediately throw the item in the washing machine and wash. This does not work like other stain removers. You can use it on old dried out stains and I have done this before but the trick is to apply the Lemon essential oil right before you throw it in the washer. If you let the Lemon sit on there to ‘pre-treat’ the stain then you might end up with a bit of a yellowing effect!

With only one wash, the Lemon essential oil ‘homemade’ stain remover took the raspberry right out of the white dress and the dress smells divine!
