What we ate today – 11/02/12

This post is part of Homemade Mommy’s ‘what we ate today’ series. I post what both I ate and what I fed my 3 year old daughter to give this community ideas on how to eat real food and that it is possible to feed a child REAL food.

I am really looking forward to dinner tonight – it is our first beef stew of the season and I sure have missed hearty meat dishes.  Maybe making this will usher in some cooler temperatures down here…maybe?!

    1. It looks great! I have been cooking it a lot longer than three hours – probably around 5-6 hours. It is still pretty wet so I have left the pot open. I used kohlrabi and kohlrabi greens instead of parsnips which we don’t have right now. I also added a cardamom pod and some turmeric. I used ACV instead of red wine vinegar too. 🙂 Delicious!
