Here is what I packed my 4 year old daughter for lunch today:
- Leftover rib from dinner last night at Easy Tiger ATX
- Sweet and Sour Fermented Coleslaw
- half an avocado with salt, pepper and apple cider vinegar
- a handful of granola
- some dried blueberries

I wish I could send lunch to daycare with my son… Is it bad that you look forward to the days that you can prepare your kinds lunch/snack for school?

Why can’t you send a lunch to daycare?

She said it’s “not fair to the other kids” if my child has something and they don’t. She let me bring his own food (homemade baby food and solids) until he was a year old. Now that he eats with the bigger kids, he eats what she cooks. It is all bulk order things, probably from Sams or something… Some days I pick him up and he’s got Fig Newton still stuck to his face 🙁 He’s 15 months old. At home, it’s all unprocessed organic foods though.

I love these lunch ideas! I have an almost 2 y/o and I send her lunch with her to her Montessori school. She hit a slight picky stage a few months ago so it has been a real challenge lately but, we are making our way back! But, I love these ideas and I am enjoying your blog!!
