I don’t usually get so excited about an e-book but this one takes the cake. I finally got all of the ingredients to make some of my top picks from the DIY Organic Beauty e-book and I can CONFIRM that they are as awesome as the pictures and they were surprisingly easy and inexpensive! I am so happy I don’t have to buy these items anymore. I know I will save a lot of money because the products I was buying that don’t contain all the nasty chemicals were pricey and in very small packaging. It is silly to be doling out so much money for something I could easily make. Seriously!
Here are the 4 I have made so far…
- Beef Tallow Lotion Bars – these turned out absolutely fabulously and were not that hard to make! I used sweet orange oil and they smell so nice and not at all beefy (ew!). I love that they aren’t at all greasy – just a nice creamy finish. I already gave a few away to a friend and my father – so far they love them too!
- Peppermint Face & Body Wash – I absolutely love this one and it only has 3 ingredients! Super easy!
- Toothpaste – I made it with fennel and it is nice although a bit tough to get it out of the container since it is cold in my house right now so the coconut oil really hardens it. My daughter needs to get used to it – I made hers with sweet orange but it wasn’t enough to mask the clay – it is green and that seems to turn her off as well.
- Honey Orange Shampoo – it is very nice – I love the smell and also how my hair feels. I rinsed with ACV/water after. I highly recommend as an alternative to baking soda/water which is kind of BORING and also COLD! I am not sure if you have tried baking soda or ACV for your hair care yet but that is the one drawback – it is just water basically so if your shower is cold then the water is cold and it is bit shocking to dump cold water on your scalp at 7am!
All in all – totally worth the price of the DIY Organic Beauty e-book from Mommypotamus – thumbs up on this e-book for sure.
