I have been married for 4 1/2 years and cooking for that same amount of time and I have yet to use a sharp, good quality knife! Lol! It would be such a blessing to own knives that actually do what they are intended to do and save the time of sawing at everything! 😉

This knives are truly beautiful. I’ve been looking on Amazon for quality knives since mine aren’t great, and these were the best I’ve found for the price. I have yet to be able to afford a set, so winning them would be great!
I have one Wusthof paring knife I’ve used for 20+ years. They’re high quality and keep their edge well.
My son is engaged to a wonderful young lady. They are both hard working and they love to cook healthy food together. The knives they have are nothing short of dangerous, old and worn-out. It would be an awesome wedding gift.

I love that these are such well made knives with a lifetime warranty. My husband and I cook a lot, but make do with kitchen items from the dollar store since we are on a very limited budget. I can’t imagine how nice it would be to cut my homemade bread with a real bread knife!

Ok, these knives are awesome! They are weighted, sharp (duh!) and have a lifetime warranty! So I’ve only ever had one nice knife in my life. It was a J.A. Henckels 7 inch Santoku knife that I bought my husband for Christmas the first year we were dating. I joke about how that knife present totally scored me a husband and he jokes about how I bought it for him because I knew one day it would be mine! We were both right. We’ve been married 3 1/2 years now and that knife will be 4 years old this Christmas. We use it every day and being as how it’s the only nice knife we’ve got, it’s seen some serious slicing and dicing. Our not so nice bread knife disappeared on our last move and well, it would be really nice to have a entire SHARP set of knives!
It would be incredibly awesome to win some quality knives that are sharp and durable. I love that this set comes with a sharpening stone and the knives aren’t serrated. The cheapo set that I currently have has serrated blades that are flimsy. It would be nice to use knives that actually cut with precision instead just mutilating my food lol. I have been married for nine years and have four kids. I have worked so hard to try and transform my kids diet as well as mine. It has been a little difficult trying to keep them onboard especially when there Dad comes home from work, He works out of town so he’s not around as much as we would like, and eats the junk food he brings home. I have realize though that the best I can do in this situation is to feed them healthy when there Dads not around and when he is they will most likely choose to eat what he has to offer but as long as I teach them how to eat healthy when they grow up. A little they may eventually choose that beating healthy has so many benefits. Why I’m saying this is because when cutting produce it is a whole lot more effort to cut with dull knifes then sharp ones and it seems that that is all I have in my kitchen. I do wish to have new ones and have for quite some times. Thank you for letting me post a comment!

I enjoy homecooking for my large family. A couple years ago my brother bought a set of knives and gave them to me. What a waste of $150 (on sale). I realized I have never had a good set of knives. So after reading the description I have to say my favorite feature is, “Designed to meet the most popular cutting demands”. After dicing an onion the other day and having to re-cut many pieces (Ugh)!
I would so love to have an actual knife set! For years i have been using my mother in law’s mismatched set, which is not in good shape whatsoever. My knives are horrible at chopping herbs and meats, they literally rip them to shreds. I love the knives that you are giving away, they seem like knives professional chefs would use in their kitchens at home. It seems like chopping would be a breeze and I would love to have that beautiful oak block sitting on my counter full of those beautiful knives!
These are awesome knives (I’ve used them at a friend’s home) and they hold an edge & sharpen well!!! I have a set of Wusthof steak knives, and sometimes I use them for chopping instead of using my horrible “chopping” knives. Although I have a Cuisinart, there is nothing like using knives for getting the perfect slice and dice. As I approach 40 years old, I would love to finally have a real set of kitchen knives for food prep.

I spend almost all day every day in my kitchen making everything from scratch, but I have yet to own a nice knife set. My knives remind me of sheet metal glued to a plastic handle, as one reviewer on amazon put it.

I like that they come with a sharpening steel! These will be very useful for me. I’m from Venezuela and moved to New York City almost two years ago. I have been using an old set of 13 knives and scissors that were already here and that probably my grandmother bought like 20 years ago! They still work but some don’t perform that well. Like a year ago I bought a set of 4 inexpensive but promising knives, but they didn’t turn out to be good. I cook every meal, so having these amazing knives would make everything easier. My favorite thing in the Amazon description is the knife sharpness and durability. If I win, I will give the set to my mom for Christmas. I am a college student who still lives at home. My mom and I love to cook, but our cheap knives can be difficult to work with sometimes. They don’t hold a sharp edge very well and are cheaply made to begin with. I would love to get my mom something this nice for Christmas, but I just don’t have the money. It would be so awesome to win this for her, and give back to her a little for all she’s done for me.

I have a Wustoff knife and it is my favorite. We’ve had it for several years now and it’s still sharp and performing well. I also prefer the weight of it and it’s “balance” (I think that’s the proper terminology) as compared to my other knives. I’d love to have the set …. We’re pushing hard for eliminating processed foods and trying to eat traditionally. That means more time in the kitchen and better knives would be a great help!!

Cooking shears are my favorite tool to use in the kitchen, and this set has them plus lifetime usage promised with extra slots for other special tools I may want to add. Can use more knives since the handles on mine have cracked off a few of them and they are now dull …without a cutting steal to sharpen dull knives which this set has.

I love the warranty. The full tang is excellent, but I think the best feature is the Wusthof name because I trust it and know chefs recommend it.
I’d love to have these knives! I only have one all purpose quality knife and I love it. Having a full set of quality carbon steel, properly weighted knives would make cooking so much more fun and easy.

I am new to cooking real food (and really anything in general) so a nice set of knives would really help save me time in the kitchen, especially since I don’t own a food processor and our blender is on its last legs. These appear to be super durable and since they are weighted I would imagine these would help make chopping everything by hand a breeze!

I have an old set of knives they were good for there day, it is amazing how much easier preparing food is with a set of good knives and with the block you know where there at.
I’d LOVE this set of knives. My current set consists of a dozen mismatched, dull, chipped knives I picked up on base at the Airman’s Attic Store (thrift store). They have lasted me 10 years, but now with a family of five, I am definitely in the kitchen a LOT more and a great set of sharp, well designed knives would be so wonderful. I like how these are built to be light weight, are well balanced, the blade is made of quality metal and have a classic look!!!
A beautiful set of knives and a beautiful holder, all backed by a great name. A knife should feel good in your hand, now awkward… weighted knives usually do. My son who LOVES to cook and is in college in SD, cooking for himself, would love good knives, I just can’t afford them for him… IF I win these knives, I will be so happy and glad hearted to give them to him and see his smile!

I actually already have a great knife set and can’t think of only one great feature! Having a great set is a must. The reason i would like to win this is to give it to my mother. She has never owned a good set because, with 14 kids, she’s never been able to afford many good things like that.

I have always dreamed of owning Wusthof Cutlery because I know they are superior quality. As a child my father taught me to only buy cutlery with riveted handles because it is a sign of a good company who cares about quality. As a former chef (before I was injured and had to retire) one of my goals was to save enough money to afford a set of Wusthof knives, but that didn’t come to fruition, unfortunately. They are well-balanced tools, and fit my hand beautifully. I have been to stores that carry them and have held the dream in my hand, but have yet to own it. Perhaps THIS will be the answer to my dream come true.
When I was a restaurant cook I dreamed of owning a set of Wusthof cutlery and was trying to save for it before my accident forced me to retire. with a lifetime guarantee, you know they are crafted to last. i had a good knife set, that was another lifetime ago!! dull knives can make working in the kitchen less enjoyable.
For the past 3 years I’ve managed to survive on just one chefs knife. {in addition to the typical steak knives} My favorite feature is the simple fact there are more than ONE! baahaaha! But i guess if I’ve gone this long… I’ve adapted enough to possibly not need a set at all then… 😉
My husband has had no problem buying the tools he’s needed over the years. I’ve always had a hard time purchasing good things for myself. I finally have some cast iron I love and a few other quality kitchen items. I haven’t gotten around to getting good knives yet. This would be a blessing to my cooking as he’s been out of work since June.
I love that this set comes with every kind of knife I use! Mine are all getting old and it would be so cool to replace them with brand new, better quality ones!
A good set of steel knives will complement my ceramic knives. Wusthof’s are as good as Hencenkel’s so this set should be as good as my Kyocera knives.

I love the warranty and that it comes with a knife sharpener. I’ve been hoping for some good knives – even asked for some for Christmas, but my mom is superstitious and thinks it’s bad luck! Lol I agree that dull knives are worse! I would be thrilled to own these knives.

I have a dream to be a school lunch lady. I have been taking culinary classes on and off when I can for 3 years while working 3 jobs and caring for my young daughter (now 2.5). I have been cooking since I was about 5 (in my 30’s now) and for years now I have wanted a set of Wusthof (sounds like Vusthof!) knives for my entire 12 years of marriage. With a set of these knives, I think my cooking would go even smoother.

My favorite feature is that these are tested BY LASERS. I don’t think I own ANYTHING that’s been tested by lasers! Our current knife set is super old (and probably not laser-tested). I would love to replace them with this amazing set!

These knives look great – made well and they look like they will last! I also like how the slits in the knife block are aligned horizontally rather than vertically. That way, when you pull a knife out, you don’t risk cutting yourself. Small detail, but golden!
