As many of you know, I attended the Young Living Convention a couple of weeks ago. It was truly an amazing experience! So what comes in the KidScents Essential Oils Kit from Young Living?

The Young Living KidScents® Oil Collection is a comprehensive kit that addresses the most common concerns of childhood. This kit includes six mild essential oil blends, formulated especially for children ages 2-12:

  • GeneYus™: May help a child stay on task and focus. I personally love the oils in this blend because I have used many of them on my 5 year old already for these same reasons! I was super excited to see this one in this kit! This blend contains: frankincense, idaho blue spruce, palo santo, melissa, cedar wood, blue cypress, galbanum, and angelica.
  • Bite Buster™: Can be used for bug bites and to repel bugs. I have personally been using this blend on my own bites and it works great.  This blend contains: idaho tansy, citronella, and palo santo. I love that it does not contain citrus oils which can make the skin sensitive to the sun which we don’t need in summer!
  • SniffleEase™: As the name implies, can be used to get rid of the sniffles. This blend contains: eucalyptus blue, palo santo, lavender, dorado azul, ravintsara, myrtle, eucalyptus globulus, marjoram, pine, eucalyptus radiata, black spruce, eucalyptus citriodora and peppermint. This is like a mini ‘Breathe Again’ diluted for children. I tested this one last night on my own stuffy sinuses and it wasn’t quite strong enough for me but I could tell it would work great on a child.
  • Owie™: Use for minor cuts, scrapes, and bruises. This blend contains: idaho balsam fir, melaleuca alternifolia, helichrysun, elemi, cistus, hinoki and clove oils.
  • TummyGize™: Great for upset tummies and digestion. This blend contains: spearmint, peppermint, tangerine, fennel, anise, ginger and cardamom and smells DIVINE.
  • Sleepylze™: Um….who doesn’t want their child to sleep better?! This blend contains: lavender, geranium, roman chamomile, tangerine, bergamot, sacred frankincense, valerian and ruta.

    • I am new to the oily world but so far have had nothing but success with them. I would live the KidScents kit to use on my 3 year old son who loves to uses mommies oils. So far I have only use thieves, lavender, piece and calming, and the homemade bug spray (recipe which I got from this website) on him because I am still unsure of how to use them on children.

  63. My favorite blends from this kit would have to be these three: GeneYus, Owie, and Sleepylze. GeneYus for my oldest two who get easily distracted while doing schoolwork. Owie cause all threee of them come up to me for the slightest bumps and scratches and insist on putting something on them. Sleepylze because all three of them have issues with winding down at night.

  73. I am very interested in trying oils with my young children. They have some sensitivities to medications and sprays. We live in the country so we have insect bites frequently.   82. What a fantastic idea =)! I’d share this with my youngest daughter who has four little ones, ages 1-6. The one I’d probably use the most for frequent visits is the oil for owies or sleep as two of the kids really don’t sleep well. They wake often and I’m thinking that this might be because they aren’t in their own beds. ? All of the oils sound wonderful though, and both I and my daughter would be very excited to have these on hand. I have not heard of this with a couple other companies around. Is this unique to Young Living?

I have many young nephews and nieces and their Mommies are all very interested in jumping on the Oily Bandwagon for use with their little ones. I recently gave one of my nieces a few samples of lavender and she was amazed at how much of a difference it made on her toddlers tush rash 😉 I love them all, but to chose one…I would go with Bite Buster for this time of year!

  735. I’m loving trying to use more natural products in my home and am excited to introduce my young son to oils. I’ve been diffusing peace and calming at nap and bedtime and could be coincidence but every time he’s sleeping soundly faster than normal. 🙂
