Did you know that Blackstrap Molasses is a true superfood for dark hair? It can often help restore graying hair back to its original color! It does this not by dyeing hair, but by restoring the body’s ability to make melanin so that dark new hairs replace old grey ones! I learned this and more from a new e-book with tons of DIY Organic Beauty Recipes.

I obviously focus very much on what is going in our mouths at mealtimes, but I didn’t know until fairly recently that we should also only be putting things on our skin if they are edible as well. This is why I am so excited about Mommypotamus’ new e-book, DIY Organic Beauty Recipes.
This e-book contains 50+ recipes including my top 5 picks:
- Deep Conditioner for Dark Hair
- Lotion Bars
- Man Stink Killer Deodorant (ahem – for my husband!)
- Peppermint Face & Body Wash
- Cinnamon & Vanilla Winter Scrub
- Cinnamon & Clove Tooth Powder

I’m really interested in boosting my family’s health and nutrition these days. I would spend a $75 gift card on a Mommypotamus book for my daughter and books and equipment needed to ferment foods and make sprouted grain and sourdough breads.
Hi Caryn,
This giveaway is not for a $75 gift card. It is just for the e-book. I fixed the error in the rafflecopter widget – apologies for any confusion!
Well, in that case, what really caught my eye was the ability to get rid of gray hair and knowing which homemade formulas really work would be a great help. We tried a toothpaste and mouthwash from online instructions but they didn’t go over very well.

I am interested in anything natural for beauty. I am sensitive to gluten, grain, soy and a few other ingredients that always seem to be in commercial stuff. The blackstrap mollasses recipe looks really interesting. Thanks for the giveaway!

I would love to make the dark hair conditioner. I’m starting to get a few gray hairs and am looking for something natural to help.
I have been wanting to make lotion bars. I keep reading about them but have never tried one.
I would love to make the deodorant and lotion bars. I have really wanted this book and it wasn’t in the budget. Thank you for hosting this giveaway!
The tooth powder, the lip and cheek tint, the conditioner, the shampoo, the lotion bars, oh my! I would likely make absolutely everything at least once! I have super long hair, like to my rear end, and am always looking for ways to keep it clean naturally! I would love to win this, and like many others I’m sure, the budgets are so tight right now with holidays coming, this would be a wonderful “Mommy treat”. Thanks for having this giveaway!
Wow! Her recipes sound fantastic. I would be whipping up a batch of “turn your gray hair dark again” so fast it would make your head spin. If that one works, all the rest have to be winners as well!
Blackstrap molasses, what?! I think I may have to try it out, although I’m not sure my hair is dark enough, really. It would beat coloring, for sure!
oh the hair color for sure, tooth powder, deoderant.
Awesome giveaway! thanks!
I would love to make all my beauty products!
The orange honey shampoo sounds amazing!
Interesting! I’d like to try some of these!
There are so many recipes I would like to try. Maybe the shampoo and solid perfume first. I would love to make Christmas presents from this book
I’m definitely interested in reversing gray hair. I’m getting so many lately!
Hair products.
I would love the conditioner for dark hair! I’ve noticed a few grays sneaking in lately…
I would love to make the dark hair conditioner–I have very dark hair and been getting grays since age 20! Ooh and the lip tint!

Hair products Sound amazing!
I’d love to make the deodorant soap for my husband. He’s willing to use homemade products, but wants a deodorant soap. Would love to know how to make an effective one.
the deodorant sounds cool!
I am allergic to multiple foods, but am also allergic to colophony, which is in basically everything. I need to learn how to make my own soaps, shampoos, conditioners, and more. I am spending WAY too much money on commercial crap to meet my needs. I’m making a ton of food these days to meet the allergic needs of my 15-mth old son and me, so why not throw in making some body products, too! 🙂
Looks like I’d love to try making lots of things, but among them are the sweet orange and honey shampoo and some deodorant.
Even at 51 years old, I haven’t gotten past the vanity issue yet and I do dye my hair. Every time I do it, I get scolding looks from daughter. So I would love to know how to cover the gray naturally!
Are there tips for blondes too? I’d look really funny if all of a sudden my hair turned a really dark color, especially since everyone who knows me knows I’m allergic to hair dyes and have never colored my hair.
I’d like to make the cosmetics. With a teenage daughter expiramenting with them, I’d prefer for her to use something that I know the ingredients.
I would love to learn how to make shampoo and conditioner…and the tooth powder….and the lotion… I would like to learn how to make everything!
I’ve been coloring my gray hair since my late-20’s. I’m now 50+ and would like to stop ~ until it’s completely white and stylish!
Yay! Now I can actually try something natural that doesn’t leave my hair feeling like straw.
orange and honey shampoo
scrub, bronzer, shampoo
I’ve been looking into making shampoo and conditioner…so I would probably make the conditioner for dark hair.
I want to try out the
Sweet Orange & Honey Shampoo!!!

Orange and honey shampoo looks delicious as does the bronzer.
I LOVE DIY projects! This is right up my alley! Thanks for the opportunity to enter the contest!
I’m looking to try a successful shampoo recipe!
I definitely want to make my own hair care products. I have tried in the past but haven’t found anything that I’m satisfied with.
The deoderant definitely, but probably lots of the stuff in the book!
I’d love to make the tooth powder. The stuff in the store is not good for us. I have a teenage daughter who loves beauty “stuff”. I’d love for her to make her own healthy products.
This would be AWESOME to win!!!
I would like to know your shampoo recipe!
I’m curious about the African black soap shampoo & the toothpaste
I want to learn how to make natural deodorant.
Peppermint face and body wash!! So excited to make many things next to the handsoap that I’ve already done.
Any of the makeup ones and I am sure there are others I would love to try as well….
I would love to make lotion!
Tooth powder, deoderant and hair products! Especial lyshampoos and conditioners that work well on frizzy curly hair.
